"On Saturday October 20, Daryl picked me up at 5am. He told me to keep the day free and had given me a list of things to pack, but he wouldn’t reveal where we were going. Given that I was told to pack beachwear, towel, etc, I was expecting that he had planned a roadtrip to a coastal destination, but we drove to Sydney airport. I was puzzled and he still wouldn’t tell me where we were going. We lined up at the counter and it wasn’t until after we received our boarding passes that I realised we were flying to Hamilton Island..."
